Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr. is the Vice President of Liberia, serving since 22 January 2024.

Public service

• Elected Representative for Nimba County District 1 in 2011.
• Elected to the Liberian Senate in 2020.
• Selected as Joseph Boakai’s running mate for the 2023 election.
• Elected vice president on 14 November 2023 and serves constitutionally as President of the Senate.

Political affiliation

Koung was standard bearer of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction before joining the 2023 Unity Party presidential ticket.
