Thirty senators elected across 15 counties
On 11 October 2005, voters elected two senators from every county as Liberia restored its constitutional legislature after the civil-war transition. The highest-finishing candidate in each county received the longer senior-senator term; the runner-up received the shorter junior-senator term, re-establishing staggered Senate elections.
