Constitutional structure
The President nominates the Chief Justice and four Associate Justices, subject to confirmation by the Senate. Three justices constitute a quorum. The Supreme Court exercises final appellate authority and heads Liberia’s system of subordinate courts.
The Court ordinarily holds March and October terms. A Justice in Chambers handles designated extraordinary and remedial applications in rotation.
